Oracle VM Templates (Virtual Appliances) available today
virtualization.info has an announcement that Oracle is offering virtual appliances called Oracle VM templates for the following products available for download:
- Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 Webcenter
- Oracle Database 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.4)
- Oracle Database 11g (11.1.0.6)
- Oracle Enterprise Linux
- Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g (10.2.0.4)
- Oracle Fusion Middleware Service Oriented Architecture on WebLogic Server 9.2 (10.1.3.3)
According to Wim Coekaerts’, Oracle’s VP of Linux Engineering’s, Oracle Linux and Oracle VM are free to use and redistribute in dev, test and production. The other software should require routine license, maintenance and support.
